I live in Los Angeles County.

Hannah likes to draw, but she's more into manga and anime. Matthew just won an Honorable Mention in an art competition. A few years ago, Hannah had some mini-comics at San Diego. She sold out of them the first day. Maybe she'll have more this year.

As I said, Hannah's into manga. Matthew reads Usagi, but has other preferences.

Hi Stan,

Just out of curiosity, what manga & anime does Hannah like? I'd assume it's the more "girly" titles, but you never know.

Hannah seem to keep Tokyo Pop in business. She does read the girly titles like Peach Girl and Fruits Basket, but she also reads books like Kenshin.

She hasn't made any in a couple of years, but she had "The Adventures of Kathleen" and "Sock Man", a superhero that rides around in the Shoemobile.

In Japan, Kenshin is titled "Rurouni Kenshin", the name for some of the videos was changed to "Samurai X" for foreign audiences because the licensing company thought it could better sell a show with the word "Samurai" (or Ninja) in the title.
Naruto is another Shounen JUMP title being put out by Viz (like Kenshin) and is a really good character driven Ninja comic. I don't know if Stan wants me suggesting more titles for his daughter to check out tho. ;)

i like your name heero you copy that from gundam wing. which is a good show. the first gundam show i saw. i didn't know on the subtitiles videos they called it samurai x. i just though that was it's name. i saw on dvd at blockbuster samurai x. i like shonen the only thing i hate about them is you can't subscribe to any of their graphic novels just shonen jump and other magazines. i like to get their graphic novels by mail. i even ask mile high comics and they said they don't do it. they might becauise on mile high comics catalog they show some viz's graphic novels. i even subscribe to usagi yojimbo and ninja turtles by mile high comics.

I recently finished watching the "Rurouni Kenshin" series and loved it!
The way it worked for the release over here is 95 episodes of the tv series from Media Blasters. These have "Rurouni Kenshin" as the title.
Then there are 3 movies with the "Samurai X" title that are drawn differently and voiced by different English-speaking voice talent. These are released through ADV. (I've heard a rumor there was a 4th movie, but I don't claim to be a total expert here.)
The tv series is more light-hearted than the movies.

hmm, after watching a really good manga series, then reading the grahic novels always makes me wish we could have something like that with Usagi....
