General discussion about Usagi Yojimbo, the comics, the stories, the characters, collectibles, TV appearances, Stan Sakai, Space Usagi, Nilson & Hermy, and all other related topics.
While I didn't attend SDCC, I was still fortunate enough to get some goodies from the con.
With the assistance of Mark, the manager of Comics Unlimited, and the kind help of a generous fellow customer whom I've never met.... I was able to get....
Event Guide...
2014 Souvenir Book...
Sketch Book 11 and Dark Horse Usagi card...
I'm still waiting for my copy of the limited print - Mark was getting some protective sleeves for his & my print...
Nice haul, definitely the best swag at this year's convention!
I am kind of curious as to what happened with the 30th Anniversary Usagi Yojimbo pins and the 47 Ronin signing card which Stan mentioned prior to the convention.
I was happy to learn that the Usagi drawing by Kim Jung Gi was included in the Souvenir book and not just on the t-shirts sold at the convention.

Were you able to get one of the NCS Batman shirts from SDCC? If not, they should be available on their website soon. http://www.reuben.org/sales/

The pins were given out for free at the front of the Dark Horse booth. I happened to wander by when they had them in stock and grabbed one (Friday evening if I recall). The next day they had something else in the basket.
There was only an Usagi signing card from the looks of it, and that's the first I've seen of the pin. I asked Stan if he could grab a handful during the Friday signing and he wasn't able to, so maybe DH hadn't put them out for taking at that point? Or they had already all gone. Who knows. C'est la vie. I've got pretty much everything else from everyone...
With a breeze comes a storm, but then you'll all be washed away...
I did not get any pins. We ran out of the 47 Ronin signing cards at Mike's and my Dark Horse signing on Sunday. It is the cover of the 47 Ronin graphic novel. I did take some of the UY signing cards and were giving them away at my booth.
