Yes, you can play as Usagi. From the looks of it, the game is similar to a Street Fighter typeof game, with Usagi as one of the characters you can play. Good call on whoever made this one...and great character animation! Stan, did you provide any design work for the video game??

The people at Konami got the character animation from the new TMNT tv series. The tv folks were fans of Usagi for years, so they wanted to keep the characters as true to the comic as possible...but then we're dealing with Usagi and Gen time/space traveling to an interdimensional martial arts tournament.

And keep in mind, that what I showed in San Diego was still a rough cut of the game.

i really hope they dont give usagi two different lines that he says every time he attacks, who here has played tmnt 1 on ps2 or gc, don just says, "corner pocket" "corner pocket" "corner pocket" "corner pocket" and leo just says, "slice and dice" "slice and dice" "slice and dice" "slice and dice"

AAAAAGGHHHH

it would be so annoying if usagi just went, "ryaaaaaa" "ryaaaaaa" "ryaaaaaa" "ryaaaaaa" "ryaaaaaa"

the agony!!

anyone played SHOGUN: total war
mmm shimazu

speaking of shimazu, no one in UY has used a no-dachi, and when will we see usagi take down some ninjas/bandits with a bow, i mean, he did train with it.

well, back to shogun, one time i had 4 full armies of warrior monks waepon/armor 3 and 5 honor-
legendary swordsmith-3 weapon
legendary armory-3 armor
golden palace-+3 honor
temple complex-+2 honor

never flee, take down takeda cavalry *snap* like that. and pretty much everything else.

"Innkeeper! A cup of your finest tea."

'What ho, Ronin!'

"Ahh! Gen! 'Tis most fortunate to see you again, good chap!"

'Quite so, longears! Say, would it trouble you terribly to front my bill? I seem to have left my wallet in my other petticoat.'

"Gen, you scoundrel, you are indeed a most incorrigible character."

...... hm. I can't see it. :D

No, no, no...it'd be more like:
"Are you telling me...that you built a TIME MACHINE...out of a DeLorean?!"

"Game over man, Game over!

"All right...this chick is TOAST!"

"Our situation has not improved."

"You wanna get outta here? You talk to me."

"Groovy."

No-Prize to anyone who can succesfully identify what 80's movies those quotes all come from. (I just a kick out of imagining Usagi saying them)

Agreed
Agreed
Ghostbusters, atop the Dana's apartment
Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves... I think. If it is, it's in the sewers after the prison break
The Road Warrior, M. Roketansky to Papagalo, beginning negotiation for a tank of gas and a couple of jerry cans of diesel oil.
Agreed, but wouldn't "Duke Nukem 3D" be a valid response as well? :)
