Sasuke the Demon Queller

Post by Lobster Johnson »

Hi everyone,
After reading the great story with the magic ink set in the latest Usagi Yojimbo Saga, I've decided I really like the character Sasuke the Demon Queller. What all stories does he appear in (besides the ones that are already collected in the Saga editions)?
Thanks!

Off the top of my head, the easiest on to recall is the Yokai OGN. :)

Sasuke also played a big role in the Traitors of the Earth story (book 26)

I read that Sasuke made a four page (I think) appearance in an anthology book a while back. Does anyone know if that will be collected in an upcoming Usagi trade?
Thanks!

Very good question. :)

The details on that appearance are:

THE CBLDF PRESENTS LIBERTY ANNUAL 2014
October/2014 (Image Comics)
''Gagged'' (featuring Sasuke the Demon Queller) 5 pages (color)

Speaking of Sasuke, I just finished Yokai a couple minutes ago (only 3 more books to go!). Wow... I did not expect that ending.

Hey could you link to this comic? Is it a simple comic? Also by now, is this in a TPB?

(I did not know a second issue was released last fall. Too bad they didn't get Stan in that one as well)

On Comixology the rating is "17+", but the description says "All-Ages". Then on here it says "rated E". I'm confused (as usual) :?
My guess is that this issue is really rated E, but other issues in the series are not. But, I haven't read the issue, so I can't say for sure.

Read the story last night, and quite enjoyed it. Cool to see Sasuke starring in his own story (and in color, too).

Sasuke has long been a favorite of mine. In my wildest dreams, I've often hoped that Stan would occasionally take breaks from Usagi to start intermittent solo series for characters like Sasuke and Inspector Ishida, who want to go on the kind of adventures that generally don't involve samurai.

Does anyone have a better picture of this Sasuke commission? I can only find this much of it, with the bottom of it cut off.
Any help is appreciated.
