Geography question: Hirone's province

Hi everybody. I'm still quite new to Usagi, but enjoying it a great deal, and it's woken an interest in history. I'm wondering whereabouts Lord Hirone's province would be on the map? The threatened village in the early "Wings of Blood" story stayed with me, and I'd love to have some idea which part of real-world Japan it would have been in.

Does the old map of Usagi's World still exist anywhere? I know it's gone from this site, and it doesn't show up on Wayback.org. I'd be delighted to see it.
