TAILS Comics Now Available!

Post by Andy »

I've put a lot of hard work into this project and I'm very pleased with the results. My comic strip is an anthropomorphic "team" comic strip. If you're curious to find out more about it, you're welcome to visit my site at www.andrewwales.com

Stan has definitely been an inspiration to me, although I've got a long way to go to match his expertise.

Hey, that looks cool!

Wish I had an original idea for a comic and had the ability to mass-publish it...:(

Like your old-school "ACtion Comics"-ish logo.

Thanks! In a lot of the images I'm going for a "retro" look, combined with some things new.

I'm not exactly "mass" producing it, since I've only got 100 copies. But if I sell those 100 I can get 100 more, and so on. Dreamweaverpress.com is the only place I know of that will give you a reasonable price on just a few copies.

I've almost sold out of the first printing! The first printing was only 100 copies, but hey, it's a start! I had to raise the mailing price to $5.75. It costs more to mail those suckers than I thought.

Saturday I'm going to speak at a conference. Tomorrow my wife and I will drive the nine hours to Virginia. I was asked to speak at the Creative Minds Conference about a Pop Art printmaking project I do with my students. I will have to speak to 90 teachers! My stomach is churning like a washing machine. The director said I could set up a book table and try to sell my books. Here's hoping I sell out!

Here's an example of the project...

Hope everything will go fine on the conference, Andrew. Plus hope you'll sell your books.

Thanks, Sebastian. The conference went great! It was inspirational to hear so many teachers who have a passion for what they do. This conference was designed around the topic of helping students with learning difficulties through the arts. Some children learn best with creative projects.

I did sell a few books too! Some bought 4 or 5 copies for their school.

I just updated the front page of my site. I'm going to try to do this each month, so that the front page is completely changed once a month, with news on the front page. Just trying to keep it fresh.
