Re: Complete Grasscutter
So, what will it feature that previous prints of GrassCutter didn't?

I can’t find it on IDW’s site(s) and my not-so local comic shops don’t have it listed it either... /:

Re: Complete Grasscutter
As far as I know, IDW only sells these editions direct, so you probably won't find them from your LCS. Since they're not due to be released until SDCC, I'd expect we'll see them on the site around that time.

Re: Complete Grasscutter
ouch!
just took a look at other artist books on idw and the shipping is...
unsurprising given the size of the book?
it’s coming in at $87 for usps or $226 for ups to the uk :/

That doesn't surprise me re postage costs with IDW, as they use Global Priority I believe for tracking and insurance.

Re: Complete Grasscutter
"Grasscutter" is my favorite Usagi story, as difficult as that is to actually pin down, so I'm all over this. I've even spent time traveling through Japan finding insights into the historical background of this story, making it all the richer.
Waiting for pre-order info. is potentially killing me, but I should be fine once I've got confirmation of a copy (ha). A fantastic piece of art through and through.

Re: Complete Grasscutter
I think that the cultural background in the Grasscutter story in particular was also incorperated into the story for BlazBlue. Grasscutter's official name is Kusanagi. In BlazBlue, Kusanagi is the codename for a Murakumo unit called Mu-12. Speaking of which, Murakumo, the original name for Kusanagi, is the name of the series of "units" that Mu-12 is a part of along with Lambda-11 and Nu-13. Also, Takama-ga-hara is a programming system to maintain space and time. Also, the three main gods of the Japanese pantheon, Amaterasu, Tsukiyomi, and Susano'o are special computer systems that are powerful and essential in running the world, with Amaterasu being the Master Unit. Finally, Izanami is one of the franchises main big bads.

Re: Complete Grasscutter
I heard the standard edition will be $150, with the sketch version coming in in the $300-500 range (I guess they haven't determined that yet). The standard edition will be available at the IDW booth at SDCC.
