I went to Megacon today and added two signatures to my Sakai Project. Still plan on going Sunday to get Takei's signature in my Red Scorpion hc. *fingers crossed* I can't decide if I want it personalized or not. Leaning towards yes.

Those are awesome! I love Tone the most. He gave my family a tour of his studio in the backyard when we dropped off our donations for the CAPS Stan and Sharon eBay auctions. Tony Fleecs was there working on my little pony. Tone showed us his work on The Simpson’s Tree House of Horror comic for Bongo. Then April and him let my kids use their house bathroom, gave us ice water, and showed us some of the original art that was going to be auctioned. I don’t remember if CAPS had announced the Sakai Project yet. But it was supposed to be a brief drop off and ended up being a 20 minute tour and conversation. Years later I saw him at WonderCon and he did a self-portrait for my sketchbook for $20. His sketches for your brother and you are amazing! Congratulations!

You're living the life! It's amazing how many great stories you have.
Tone told me I made his day by bringing in those books. That made me feel good.

Oh no, I didn't carry them. I was the guy with a little cart. It was Thursday so no real chance of me bumping into everyone.
I forgot that I also got my Team Gaijin Studios hat signed by Tony Harris. There's limited room so I have to pick and choose which former members I want to sign it. Can't get them all.
You can see my box full of books under the hat. Ryan Ottley's line was way too long for me. I've hit the age where I won't stand in long lines anymore.
I got lucky with Ryan Ottley a few years back and caught him on a Sunday with no line at all. He signed my first Invincible compendium hardcover (and maybe my second as well?) and even threw in a head sketch. With no line, we got to chat for a little bit. He was very nice. I'd assume with the success of the animated series, there are even more fans and far longer lines these days.
I’ve enjoyed the Invincible comic series a lot. I watch the first two episodes of the show and liked that too. I’ll have to find time to watch the remaining ones … someday. Peace, maka

Since 39 comic creators cancelled within weeks of the con he was one of, if not, the most popular artist there. I got in his line today at 10:50am and gave up by 11:20am. He was a no show an hour and a half into the con.
*I ended up watching the entire series of Invincible. I thought it was pretty good. Not Madalorian good, but still good.
The empty bus ride back to the parking lot. It was me and the driver.
I got to meet George Takei. Asked him if he'd ever signed a Red Scorpion before and he said no so I asked if he'd add 1st signed and he did. He didn't remember writing the introduction until his partner Brad reminded him.
As I was walking away he said, "You've got a collectible there." I threw him a thumbs up and a big smile (which he couldn't see considering I was wearing a mask) .
I completely forgot Bill Morison did a 5 page Goon story so I had to lug my Library Edition around today (no cart).
He added 2 quick sketches of Goony Bear (The Goon) and Poo Poo (Franky).

Tony Harris is mostly known for Starman and Ex Machina.
And if your talking about George Takei...Oh my!
I'm familiar with the Goon, but the character never really interested me.
Oh My! George Takei I know! Star Trek!
The others I know not (although I do know the titles mentioned).
Bill Morrison I've heard the name, but that's about it (I'm not into the Simpsons).
I'm not a true hardcore comics fanboy.
I live on the fringe, only absorbing certain bit's and pieces.
And conventions scare me... so I don't like going to them.
Bill Morrison is a cool cartoonist. As Gaffey wrote, he edited the Sakai Project for free, which allowed more of the profits from that project to go to the Sakai’s. He was just a couple of cities away from us and would often come to our lcbs with other Bongo creators for free comic book day signings. He also organized an eBay fundraiser for my lcbs owner when he had unexpected medical bills. A really sold guy. He moved states a few years back to his home town, I believe. Life is cheaper outside of California.

Not sure if I would say The Goon is one of my favorites, but it is a series that I collect and usually enjoy reading. It has been a fun series to collect because of it being a creator owned series that has been published by a few different companies over the years (like Groo and Usagi), and it has had the occasional alternate cover, one of which is the only slabbed comic which I own.
Bill Morrison is also well known for being one of the more recent editors for MAD Magazine, as well as his connection to the Simpsons. When he moved a while back, it was to somewhere here in Michigan.
Unfortunately, when George Takei came to the Motor City Comic Con in 2011, it was before he had contributed his introduction to Usagi Yojimbo: Red Scorpion (2014). That year I went to MCCC with both nephews and we all went through the line to meet George Takei but didn't spend any money for autographs or a photo. Neither nephew were big Star Trek fans and were not familiar with who he was. I believe that was the only comic convention which I attended that neither Stan Sakai or Sergio Aragones was a guest at. We did get to meet Scott Shaw!

Oops, sorry! I assumed you really liked it because of your comics, the comic box and the print(s).
I didn't know you could just meet a guest. I always assumed (again) you had to buy something. I would have stood in Aimee Garcia's line had I known that.
*EDIT - Now that I think about it they checked to make sure I had a ticket before I got in line. I guess you had different rules at your con.

Yes, he did edit The Sakai Project. Matt Groening, his boss at the time, told him he could do it during regular work hours.
I have known Bill for years. He is a terrific guy. Before Simpsons, he was best known for that controversial Disney Little Mermaid poster.
