I read Volume 4 last night and I was amazed. The story was simply incredible.
I was sad to see Shingen die, but at least he died a hero. I also got choked up when Spot died. Seriously! I have never felt like that reading a comic. Not when Superman 'died', not when Blue Beetle was killed, not even when Collosus sacraficed himself to cure the Legacy Virus. But Spot, I swear I had a tear when he died.
Usagi and Stan are now one of my favourite comics and creators.

The DBC has to be one of my all-time faves. I can remember back in my high school days waiting eagerly for #14 to come out after reading Chapter One in #13...then #15 (which became one of my fave issues of all time... then 16, 17 (which I can rember was REALLY LATE and caused me severe stress everytime I walked away empty handed from the comic book store....). I remember getting #18 at the 1988 SDCC, sad to see Spot die. I do remember I was just as disturbed by Shingen's death. I still got a commissioned piece from Stan of Usagi and Shingen in team-up mode! An awesome, memorable series!!!!
