A quick question for Stan...

Post by Steve Hubbell »

Have you read any of the mystery stories by I. J. Parker featuring Sugawara Akitada, the most recent being the story "The O-Bon Cat" in the February 2003 issue of Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine and the novel "The Rashomon Gate". His stories are set during the heian period. You can check out his website at <www.ijparker.com>

I've never heard of this writer, but I'll check on his books. Being in Alfred Hitchcock, would I be correct that his stories would be found in the Mystery section of book stores?

His book should be in the mystery section, but I believe it is still in hardcover only at this time. His second novel is scheduled for release this summer. He has published half a dozen short stories since 1997 in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine. Personnally, I still have not read anything by him, just recently ran across his name and some info on his writings...
