Katsucon program book

Post by Shadowfax »

Stan sensei;
Thank you again for your patience and good humor as I trailed after you all day Saturday collecting autographed con books! Almost all of them have already found good homes with Dojo members.

It is always a pleasure to see you in person; there were some *really* excited fans at the afternoon signing session. Thanks too for giving us a look at the watercolors that may form the next sketchbook - beautiful!

I am looking into publishing two sketchbooks this year--the usual black and white one, and a full color water color sketchbook. Jim, who was at KatsuCon with me may do the production and coordination on the color book. I never considered doing a water color book, but I have been receiving a lot of positive responses regarding my new color work.
I didn't want to mention that exciting news before you revealed it, Stan. But now that you've mentioned it, I'd like to say again how very excited I am that you're pursuing releasing the full watercolor sketchbook.

That sounds really fantastic!

I had been hoping for a Usagi yojimbo Watercolor Special for years, something that collected the story from the Trilogy Tour II and the ltd edition Book 4 hc as well as miscellaneous other watercolor pieces.

Since the big Art of Usagi Yojimbo book eventually reprinted both stories, and made it easier for fans to access those stories, I gave up on the chances of ever seeing a special issue devoted to your watercolor work.

But now, a watercolor sketchbook?

Sounds truly awesome!

:P

Katsucon Program Guide

Post by Shadowfax »

And, all the autographed program guides have been spoken for! Glad I could help out a few of the less fortunate souls who can't travel to where
Stan sensei will be appearing!
