I like that last one by Faith Erin Hicks a lot, someone (I don't remember who) commented that that's the most Belgian that Usagi has ever looked.

your opponent is always yourself."

Given the sheer weight and quality of submissions so far, it's going to be awfully difficult to pick which items to bid on when the auction kicks off...

The piece by Eric Muller is amazing.

The Skottie Young piece already sold for $500.00.

Some truly awesome works of art... but I think the ones I'd want will be out of my league.
What to you think the chances are of them being collected in book form?

I asked on an early Facebook thread posted by Scott Shaw! if they would collect the art in a printed catalog and offer it for sale to raise additional funds to help Stan and Sharon, and Tone Rodriguez' reply was in favor of the idea..... Plus they are talkin' about an exhibit of the artwork at some point as well.

I think they have collected enough "Usagi" art for the auction to put out at least ONE very healthy book of artwork for the cause....

Wait till you see David Petersen's piece. It's one of the best I've ever seen from him, and that is saying a lot.

On January 9, CAPS members met in Burbank, CA for a planning session for our upcoming auction benefiting Stan & Sharon Sakai. This was Stan's first time to see all the art that so many have been gracious to donate on his behalf. Here from L to R are CAPSers Bradley Rader, Steve Wyatt, Stan Sakai, and Bongo Comics' Bill Morrison. We still are receiving art on a daily basis. An announcement regarding when YOU will have a opportunity to get your hands on this wonderful art is still forthcoming as we continue to organize for the auctions. Thanks for your patience and interest!
