I agree with Kyle. This looks like a resculpting of an existing figure to make it Usagi. I actually think it looks pretty good.jabba359 wrote:Since it's a one-off, hand made piece, I wouldn't worry about it. Selling something like that is no different than when I commission an artist to do an Usagi piece of art for me, or if I have Stan draw me a Hellboy or some other licensed character. Yours is just a sculpted piece of original art rather than a drawn one.david20009 wrote:I am not sure how I feel about this then. I thought most likely it was a piece from a previous game as most of the painted pieces that were being auctioned off I believe came from prior TMNT games and I don't know much about what has been going on with the turtles in the last 2 decades. On one hand it was being auctioned off to help fund the kickstarter campaign as opposed to enriching the seller but on the other hand money is being made off IP that the seller does not have a commercial right to use.Stan Sakai wrote: I know nothing about this. It must be a handmade sculpture.
Now, if they were to then create a mold and mass produce Usagi statues without a license, that's something entirely different.

I received my BackerKit email from IDW today and placed my order for the Stan Sakai Box.

Thanks for the update. I checked my email. found the one from IDW and the link and placed an order for a couple of the Stan Sakai boxes.maichan wrote:I received my BackerKit email from IDW today and placed my order for the Stan Sakai Box.

Hmm... two Sakai boxes, now there's a thought.

I still haven't received an email.
Anyway, I can't believe we didn't put two and two together when it came to Usagi leaving Dark Horse. The letters IDW are directly below Usagi on the box.

Well, not really, because it's IDW Games doing the board games, so I would expect its logo to be on all the boxesGaffey wrote:I still haven't received an email.Anyway, I can't believe we didn't put two and two together when it came to Usagi leaving Dark Horse. Oh, and to answer your first point, register with Backerkit directly using the same email address you used for Kickstarter. You may be able to see your pledge there, and go forward without the email. If not, then yes, definitely send them a message via KS about it.

They sent me a reminder this morning.
I didn't have to go through any of this when I backed Mike Kunkel's Herobear hardcover.

Backerkit, CrowdOx and the such like are a lot easier to use for organising and accounting for over pledge in Kickstarter campaigns, and it also allows people to change their payment method and address between the campaign finishing and the items being shipped.Gaffey wrote:They sent me a reminder this morning.I didn't have to go through any of this when I backed Mike Kunkel's Herobear hardcover.
