Let's just say this wouldn't be the first time we've had problems deciphering the numbering in the books. Dark Horse apparently doesn't have their best person on it

Publisher copy, perhaps?

A few of us here have some AP hardcovers, which is Artist Proof.

I have the Series 1 Roku Usagi statue, number 49/450. Extra special to me because Stan signed its base for me in 2013, when he was in Portland as part of a samurai show at our art museum:

I also have the 2017 black Usagi Playmates figure, number 29/200.

I collect the HC bigger collections like the Saga books, but usually just get paperbacks for the trades. I only have a HC of book 32 because Stan gave it to me at the end of the day of the documentary shoot.

I considered picking up book 33 in HC since it's dedicated to Maka, but forgot to grab it for myself.

Updated my original post...I finally have all the HC’s!!!
Took a little over four years and internet hunting almost every single day to find them all!
I have to say in four years I’ve only seen Book 3 for sale this one time. I see all the others pop up randomly and with big price tags but I’m still curious why Book 3 is so rare to see. I know the print run dropped from the first two but it still seems odd that this one has become so elusive especially with other books having a lower print run.

Congratulations!

I can't recall which one gave me the hardest time finding. I did look back and figure out that books 1, 6, 7, and 12 were the last on my list to be found.

I remember at times I felt as if it would be impossible to find them all, but through persistent searching and some just plain good luck, I eventually found them all and that was exciting and a relief!

See this thread: http://www.usagiyojimbo.com/forum3/view ... 19&p=49303

Book 3 was the sixth hardcover and the last one of the "old" collections to make it to hardcover, having been first released in softcover. Maybe it didn't sell and there's a bunch of them sitting in storage somewhere. Certainly it took me a while to find a reasonably priced copy of it. Most of the other older ones were relatively straight forward.

I remember guessing incorrectly on this trivia question
Certainly a very interesting bit of history regarding the first 7 HC's having such a random publication order.

I'm curious to see how IDW handles this topic of individual HC's. I sincerely hope they continue that line.

I finally got my copy of book 33 in my shipment today.

USAGI YOJIMBO 33: THE HIDDEN (# 225 / 575)

I ordered one for my friend and he got #313/575

I started collecting the hardcovers with vol.2 and found the first volume pretty easily so I've been fortunate in not having to hunt down hard to find volumes.
