Re: Signed & Numbered Limited Editions.... Who has what?
I am an infrequent traveler here - but I do collect UY - and have all of the s/n HC (except book #3 - but a signed and sketched 1st print PB is a filler for now) and all of the Saga books too - in case anyone is looking for a specific number. I can always list them later if anyone is interested...or if anyone knows of a spare Wanderer's Road

Alrighty, after looking at everyone's libraries for a long time, I'm going to join in.
I think all of these, except for Book 4 and the Space Usagi Collection were bought new. Books 1, 2, 3 and 5 (I think) got me started one year as a Christmas gift from my mother.
All this to say that I'm much older than I think, or I've been reading Usagi since before I was born.
Book 1 (3/750)
Book 2, 2nd printing (349/750)
Book 3, 2nd printing (185/500)
Book 4 (1209/1500) [it took years to get this one. . . finally got a copy on abebooks one day]
Book 5 (994/1000)
Book 6 (76/750)
Book 7 (400/500)
Book 8 (245/500)
Book 9 (23/500)
Book 10 (429/500)
Book 11 (287/500)
Book 12 (192/350)
Book 13 (255/400)
Book 14 (22/400)
Book 15 (41/400)
Book 16 (6/400)
Book 17 (25/400)
Book 18 (30/300)
Book 19 (275/300)

Book 29 (318/900)
Book 30 (34/575)
Book 31 (256/575)
Book 32 (495/575)
Book 33 (409/575)
Space Usagi (17PC/500) [also took a long time, then a copy popped up in a local shop's online store]
Saga 1 (833/900)
Saga 2 (988/1500)
Saga 3 (1344/1500)
Saga 4 (1275/1500)
Saga 5 (1170/1500)
Saga 6 (745/1500)
Saga 7 (954/1500)
Saga 8 (197/1500)
Saga Legends (795/1500)
Can add Bunraku (334/740)
Also the Fantagraphics HC Special Edition, gallery editions and various other collections that have been released.
There were a number of years where I didn't keep up on the monthlies, but I always got the HB collections. They've moved across the country and back, and I suppose take the place of what would have once been a set of encyclopedias, before the internet age.
I appreciate this community here, even though I don't always find the time to keep up or participate actively.

Yes, we did not begin with the Hardcovers until UY Book 4. Frankly, we did not think there would be a market for it so Editor Kim suggested we add something special to make it more enticing. Even with the fully watercolor painted "Return to Adachigahara" short story, he thought we would be able to sell a couple hundred at the most. That is why I said I would do a drawing on every tip-in card. The numbers came in at 1500, and I was drawing 10 hours straight for the next three weeks!maichan wrote:Wait, wait, wait.... As the previous books went into a second printing we added the HC editions. So, Books 1,2 and 3 HCs are second printings.

I'm sure you've told us this before, and I probably knew it but I had forgotten... like I said my memory isn't always the best!

Wow, I hadn't known that. I just thought I was late to the party!
