Hm, and I think the seller would be more successful if he had offered them individually (and for international buyers, too); some of these books have reached far more than the average 142 US $....

But to lay down 3,000 US $ at once... very few will be willing and able, even without a global financial crisis..

Starting bid: US $3,000.00 !!!

The seller seems to think that more than one person will be interested in buying a complete set.

Definitely some nice sketches included in the early books, looks like they were bought from Stan himself.

EDIT: $142 is cheaper than the last book I picked up... :(

The last HC I purchased was Demon Mask a couple months ago on EBay. It was an AP and I got it for $65. I have been trying to complete my missing volumes but the last couple HC have gone for well over $100. With the state of the economy and a tightening household budget I just cant justify it.
For that reason I don't even bother bidding once it hits the $100 mark. After watching several go over $100 I stopped checking, that's why I could have kicked myself several weeks ago when 2 HC I needed went for under $50 . :x

If I was to ever sell mine HC's it would have to be as a SET. I just do not have the heart to break up this set. I've been buying Usagi works since Albedo #4 and it has taken a long to put them together. And it would just kill me to have one unloved h/c left behind.

I had a very nasty liver flare up that has really taken me back a few notch's. The only bright moment that I had during my many months of test (Bloodwork, MRI, CRT, Echo, Ultra sounds, etc...) I was able to Read Usagi book 1 - 21 in the waiting/holding area's.

Here are the #'s for my H/C's

Book 1: The Ronin ------------------------- 526
Book 2: Samurai --------------------------- 686
Book 3: The Wanderer's Road ------------ 137
Book 4: The Dragon Bellow Conspiracy - 985
Book 5: Lone Goat and Kid --------------- 263
Book 6: Circles ---------------------------- 303
Book 7: Gen's Story ---------------------- 409
Book 8: Shades of Death ---------------- 322
Book 9: Daisho --------------------------- 210
Book 10: Brink of Life and Death ------- 007
Book 11: Seasons ------------------------ 103
Book 12: Grasscutter -------------------- 017
Book 13: Grey Shadows ----------------- 113
Book 14: Demon Mask ------------------- 120
Book 15: Grasscutter II ------------------ 134
Book 16: The Shrouded Moon ----------- 080
Book 17: Duel At Kitanoji ---------------- 112
Book 18: Travels With Jotaro ------------ 043
Book 19: Fathers And Sons -------------- 191
Book 20: Glimpses Of Death ------------- 057
Book 21: The Mother of Mountains ------ 271
Book 22: Tomoe's Story ----------------- 156

Space Usagi ------------------------------- 216

Does anybody, including Thomas, have any new books they want to add to the list after all the recent ebay auctions?

I had a friend in town over the Holidays, his mother had boxed up all his comics and toys for him. He was interested in making some cash so he was planning to eBay most of it. Remembering he once collected Usagi I offered to buy his comics.
I excitedly dug through boxes of comics hoping to find some rare gem I was missing. I had everything but I did find two things worth while. HC book 4 # 371 and Autumn moon print 11 / 200.
By a complete coincidence estee had just contacted me about obtaining my extra copy of HC book 4. Since I now had 3 copies I was happy to sell one to him. So estee is now the proud owner of book 4 HC # 371.
Unfortunately the Autumn moon print was in rough shape it had been stuffed in a box. It has a couple deep creases and a small gouge, I'm currently trying to flatten it out but it will never look mint. I already have a nice framed copy of this print, so if any Dojo member is interested let me know.

Yeah, I thought I take advantage and finally snag a copy.

I'm running out of Holy Grails here.

I wonder if I'll ever be satisfied?

Probably not.

I ended up picking up both volumes 3 and 5 on the most recent auction. Volume 3 is 20/500, volume 5 is 67/1000.

Only Volume 1 to go now.

Hey, life is good! Not only did I get Book #9 HC (well, not actually, but it's in the pipe...), I've found the first Christmas card in my mail box!

Thank you Steve, it is an especially nice one this year.
