Re: Usagi TMNT figure in Stores?
The WalMart exclusives shipment, including Usagi in brown armor and Usagi and the turtles on horseback all arrived in North Central Pennsylvania on Tuesday this week. Visited three WalMart stores and they all had them. Still having trouble finding the blue Usagi - was it a Target exclusive? They don't do a very good job of restocking the toys!

Re: Usagi TMNT figure in Stores?
Dear Reader,
My mail carrier's son got the Usagi figure at the opening of a new super Walmart.
His son opened the package right away to play with Usagi.
My mail carrier rated the toy as "pretty cool".
When i have checked, the Target and Walmart shelves looked pretty bare.
My question is how many of these toys will be manufactured?
Will they continue to be made or are they all one shot releases?
Thank you in advance for your answers.
Best wishes to all.

I'm pretty sure blue Usagi is a regular figure. The exclusives are at Walmart. I could be wrong, though.Mayhem wrote:I believe it is.Shadowfax wrote:Still having trouble finding the blue Usagi - was it a Target exclusive?
Personally, I've had zero luck finding any Usagi figures at any of the stores (though I've found the samurai armor Turtles in the Usagi episode arc packaging). Fortunately, Grusagi helped me get a regular blue version.

I thought the only exclusive figure was the large one from Walmart that hasn't been released yet. <---To the best of my knowledge.
I've seen all the turtles at Walmart and Target. Toys R Us is a bit of a drive just to look for toys.

There are three Walmart exclusives--Armor Usagi, Usagi packaged with horse, and the yet unreleased Big Usagi. The Blue Usagi is the regular one.

Answered my own question, had a great day of hunting yesterday, found the blue Usagi at Target, and another one at Boscov's! So its a "wide release." Haven't seen any of the new toys at TRU, they seem to be behind schedule.

Ah okay, sorry, got it wrong, must have been thinking of the large Usagi...

I recently found the armored Usagi and Usagi w/ horse at a Walmart in upstate NY. No luck with the regular blue robe release though, unfortunately. Been checking a bunch of Target and Walmart stores and all I've seen are the samurai turtle figures. So it goes.

Re: Usagi TMNT figure in Stores?
So, now that the teaser trailer has been released for the Usagi episode of TMNT I have to believe that every kid on the planet that watches those episodes will want that Usagi action figure.
The teaser is amazing and I was blown away by the action scenes.
Now I'm seriously worried I won't find one of the non-WalMart editions.
Have I said how awesome the teaser trailer is?
America is about to be introduced to some Usagi awesomeness!
Stan I would love to hear more about the behind the scenes stuff and how much involvement you had with story, animation approval, etc...

Look to see who gets writing credit for the first episode.Trevis Woods wrote: Stan I would love to hear more behind the scenes stuff on how much involvement you had with story, animation approval, etc...
I did artwork for the flashback sequence that shows The Battle of Adachigahara.
Re: Usagi TMNT figure in Stores?
Just picked up Samurai Usagi at Walmart. I did not see the one with the horse.
There were three, and I did my usual thing where I compared paint applications to find the best one---I'm used to there being sloppy applications here and there.
I couldn't find a single flaw in any of them. Kudos to the factory!
It's a tiny bit of a shame that instead of a wakizashi, there's a second katana. But I imagine that cuts down costs at the factory. I suppose I could trim one of them if I find it that bothersome!
What, no "head of Lord Mifune" accessory?
Looking at the picture of the "regular" Usagi figure on the back... hmm, those limbs are rather long. I shall keep an eye out for it anyway.
It's nice to see Usagi on the card art, even on those for Turtle figures.

These figures are great! Definitely the best of the Usagi figures I own.
I think one of the swords is a little shorter than the other. I'll have to check.Treadwell wrote:Just picked up Samurai Usagi at Walmart. I did not see the one with the horse.

Re: Usagi TMNT figure in Stores?
I went hunting for any Usagi figures at the local Walmart earlier tonight. Actually managed to find an Usagi and horse set and gave it a thorough examination before tossing it back. I always practice catch and release when hunting or fishing.... Neat as they are, they just do not compare to the Roku statues and I just couldn't convince myself to buy it. Not to mention my budget is already complaining about all the stuff I need to squeeze money out of it for, like the s/n hc edition of The Hell Screen that is sitting at my local comic shop waiting for me to pick up tomorrow....
