Coincidentally I was offered a Darrow CGC 9.8 for $250 last week and passed as I think it will continue to come down. The more time that passes the more people will forget about it except us hardcore Usagi fans. Happens with pretty much all (99.999%) variant covers.
You were spot on! The Darrow variants can be had for $35 - $45 on eBay.
