Madrid Expocómic coming soon...

I'm sorry to start another thread about this, but I didn't want to resurrect old ones.

I finally know the day and times where I'll be at the Expocómic. I'll get there Saturday morning, and leave in the afternoon (the flight back is at 5:30 p.m.) According to this schedule, from 11 to 12 Stan will teach how to draw, so I'll be able to see him then :) . However, the artists signings will be in the evening, so I'll try to spot him another time to have a book signed :D .

Stan, will you be available at other times, or you're not sure yet? I'd love to buy one of those back cover drawings from you and a calendar, if that's possible. If you're not sure of your schedule yet, then I'll try to talk to you before or after the class, unless you're busy or in a hurry to somewhere else :) . Thank you.

Check out the link to see the fantastic cover-art Stan did for the Madrid Expocómic 2004 program...

I WANT ONE, I WANT ONE, I WANT ONE!

Man, they look cool!

(Ziritrion, can I bribe you into getting one for me?)

Abayo...

How do you find these things? This was the first time that I saw the finished poster.

I had heard from the Expocomic organizers that the larger of the two sizes are almost gone. They may go to back to press on it, but they might not be able to justify the additional expense for a free poster. Once I receive my comps, maybe a couple can be prizes for a online contest--we haven't had one of those for quite a while. I'm still waiting for copies of the Polish poster.

But even if you don't get a poster, you can still have a copy of that art. It's just one of the images in The Art of Usagi book that's coming out in a month or so.

The only way I know to get con posters is grabbing them from the street (which is what I've always done, and only the small ones that are taped to a wall). If I find out how to get one of the big ones, then I'd have no problem at all to send you one, Steve :) . I could also send you a small one.

Looking forward to meet the Sensei. I'll try to get some pics and post them here too :) .

When I say one poster, I mean a few of them. If I can get a few posters, I'll try to send them to you. Just tell me how many you'd like.

I would be happy with a small poster or a large one. If it is possible for you to hook me up with one of the small posters, that would be great.

As for quantity, I am only in need of one, but if anyone else here wants one also, maybe we can get a quantity of them sent and save on shipping. :D

All you Dojo members that will see me in Madrid (or anywhere else, for that matter), make sure you identify yourself as a Dojo member. That will help me in placing a face to a name.
