Jei's Backstory?

Jei's character was really never as fleshed out as I would have liked, he's (was) by far my favorite character, and if you don't mind I would like to pose a few questions about him:

Who did he serve? Hikiji?
What evil did he sense in Usagi?
What is Jei and Inazuma's connection?
Why was that little girl so loyal to him?

I'm freaking out man.

These questions have been posed in the past, but no answers have been given as of yet. Stan did promise to reveal Jei's origin story eventually though, so all hope is not lost! Stay tuned!!!! You're not the only one!

OH, you kids these days. Not knowing is an enhancement to the mystery and the scariness! If you hear a loud thump from the basement and you're alone in the house, it's terrifying. If there's a cat in the house, it's less of a worry; you've got an explanation. As a fan of HP Lovecraft, I don't deny that an "origin story" could be every bit as upsetting as not knowing, but sometimes you need to let the creator keep his creations somewhat covert.

But we want THE TRUTH!! WE'VE GOT THE RIGHT TO KNOW THE TRUTH!! YOU CANNOT HIDE THE TRUTH TO US!!!! WE WANT TO BELIEV.... err, I mean, knowing the origins of Jei would be sweet indeed :D .

I share takematsu's point of view. Not knowing many things about Jei makes him a mysterious character, adds flavour to the story. It causes you to think "who is he?", "what his motives are?". This is a large plus of the story.

PS., "The Thing on the Doorstep" is my favourite! ;)

I agree with the mystery aspect, but my theory is that he was just like Inazuma. So the evil will still be a mystery, but I want to know Jei's life before he got possessed. KnowwhatImean?

Ah, but prior to the event, if your theory is correct, he's just Joe Samurai, and consequently too boring to be of interest.

No way he's Joe Samurai... I'm sure that Jei is some sort of mass hallucination that affects to Usagi and everyone who has had some sort of relationship with him... So, when the time comes, some kind of conspiration will rise and everybody will think Usagi is crazy...

Given his apparent supernatural powers, I really want to know his origin. It may effect how I view Usagi's universe.

I think it might just be all the hate people have for usagi incarnate
