Usagi Yojimbo DojoBoard

Hi Everybody,

I loved watching the 4 part Battle Nexus Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles episodes especially when Usagi and Gen got some screen time!

However, after watching the interview with Stan & Peter afterwards my anticipation massively increased after I found out Usagi would be featured again with the turtles.

So I checked out the TMNT website

Under TMNT TV and then the Episode Guide I looked at all the episodes from season 3 to get an idea when and where Leo would be showing up in Usagi's universe.

I'd say its a safe bet that episodes 74-75 will see the return of our favourite long eared samurai and hopefully as many of the other cast of characters from the usagi universe!

Heres a snippet from the episode guide for those episodes:

Episode 74:
A dreaded enemy from another dimension makes a surprising return, sending our four heroes spinning in different directions across multidimensional time and space! Separated from his family and his
world, lost and surrounded by enemies in a realm which under different circumstances he could gladly call home, how the shell will Leo ever make it back home?

Episode 75
Leonardo and a familiar ally arrive in the Battle Nexus hoping that perhaps the honorable Daimyo can help reunite him with his family. But not only does the Daimyo refuse to aid Leo, he has him imprisoned! It looks as if all hope is lost!

Episodes 74 and 75 is the two-part Real World story arc. Actually, they are more like two stories with Usagi as a guest star.

Dojo members will probably look forward to the first part more than the second. It takes place in Usagi world, and also features Gen, Tomoe Ame, Lord Noriyuki, Chizu and the Neko Ninja Clan, the Mogura (mole) Ninja Clan, and Lord Hebi. The original script also called for the Bat Ninja Clan and a cameo by our two favorite woodcutters. However, there is so much story packed into this episode that they had to be cut.

I recently saw the rough cut, and it looks great. Tomoe looks real cute.

That sounds amazing Stan, All you had to say was Tomoe and I was sold!

Any idea on when these will be hitting the foxbox?

As well, I know its far off but can we hope for another interview as an extra on the dvd compilation?

And if you watch this weekend's episode about the Mikey Christmas show, Usagi makes a cameo appearance with Gen.
(We know this because some of us already bought the DVD for this episode. For the first time, this episode was available before it was shown on tv.)

I am really looking forward to the episode with Usagi's world! What a great thing, I hope the episode will be good.
But we've got a few weeks to go.
Last week's was The Lesson, but was shown out of order for what's on the Mirage page. The New Guard hasn't been aired yet. So we're around 10 episodes to go, and we better hope they don't decide to do the usual split the season before the "real end" of the season like usual.

Heh, to think that they're showing the first season here... I've got a long wait ahead of me.

Sebastien, is it possible for you to order the TMNT episodes on DVD for your region...well atleast the battle Nexus set anyhow so atleast you could see the usagi episodes?

Then it would only be a matter of a few weeks to wait for the shipping!

I didn't actually think about buying the DVD's, but it seems a good idea. Thanks Starseed! (Now I have to start collecting money for it. )
