You know, these small candy dispensers?
Well, here is a UY PEZ:
http://heebas.com/sullyminkle/nish03.gif and
http://heebas.com/sullyminkle/nish04.gif.
There is a whole story on that site:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9.
Anyone know more about this guy?

Now
that is one mean PEZ dispenser! And quite a tribute to Sakai Sensei! Isn't that the same guy responsible for the UY RPG? We need more information on this comic!

Unless I'm mistaken, it _could_ be from "Furrlough", published by Radio Comix (who also did a couple of the "Art of Usagi Yojimbo" books, as you recall. Browse their site at
www.radiocomix.com, and good luck.

I'm flattered. I have a friend who collected those Pez dispensers and I remember buying them whenever I saw one that I did not think he had. I was at Universal City Walk a few months ago and there was a store that had thousands on display. I'm glad he had moved away by then.
On another topic, I think UY 63 will sport a back cover of an Usagi Logo that's pretty cool.

Well, which issue? I couldn't find any HTML pages or anything on that site which would allow me to even find out the name of the author...

Stan,
Was your friend you mentioned Sergio Aragones, or where you refering to someone else? Seems I read somewhere (something that Mark Evanier might have mentioned?) that Sergio collected Pez dispensers...

The friend I mentioned is someone else. He's now a professor of chemistry at a university in the midwest.
Sergio does have some Pez dispensers but most of his energies are concentrated on collecting plastic cartoon figures. Right now he's buying up Simpson figures. Europe has a lot of stuff that we in the US don't get. He brought back a lot from his recent visit to Germany. When I was in Belgium I bought a bunch of figures--some I kept, some went to Sergio, and some to Scott Shaw! who is another collector. The favorite one that I kept for myself is one of Bart mooning.

Man do I love PEZ dispensers! I sold all of mine this last summer to make room in my closet. 124 in all!
I set up a table at a convention here in Dallas around.....1993, selling all kinds of figures (mostly Ninja Turtles). Mr. Argones stopped by my table every morning to look at all of my "wares". Talk about a kid in a candy store! Though he never bought anything, I was always amazed by his kindness, great sense of humor, and his love for action figures.
