Hello to all!

"A good sword stays in its sheath."

By the way, do you all observe Toshiro Mifune's birthday (1 April) in any special way?

Ciao!
looking forward to stopping in once in a while

Welcome...
Now that you mention it, we always have a big birthday bash and the newest member of the Dojo buys everyone birthday cakes (they have to be seperate since everyone lives to far away to get together for one big cake).

Toshiro Mifune... I just bought and watched Samurai Assassin last week. I have to admit that it was just as good as I had heard. I really enjoyed it even though it was a fairly long movie.

I also recently picked up Shogun's Samurai, but have not got around to watching it yet. It has Mifune, Sonny Chiba, and a number of other well known actors (that I can't think of the names of off the top of my head).

By the way, I was just joking about the cake... we really just have the new member send everyone expensive gifts... :D

Again, welcome to the Usagi Yojimbo Dojo

Abayo...

Toshiro's birthday treats

Instead of cake for everybody, how about we all sip a nice neat virtual Scotch?

Indeed, Mifune is watch-able in anything including non-Kurosawa samurai films.

Thanks for the welcome!

Abayo.
