WHAAAAAAT?!

Gen doesn't seriously die, right?! And when you say "out of continuety" please say you don't mean these aren't available to be purchased anymore!! A lot of these are ones that I'd be interested in reading but hadn't heard about yet. Being a newbie still, I find there are stories I haven't read. Considering I've only read some of the collection books, there's quite a few!

 Well, I'm gonna try to calm down now...that last title really has me freaked. Next to Usagi, Gen is my favorite character.

Anyway, if he did die in that one, I hope it was natural and not some disturbed "beaten and murdered by thugs" sort of thing...lol...

Usagi rules.

Don't worry Alori, he isn't dead... it was a "gag" promo part from the Usagi art booklet available at the Con. Tomoe and Usagi get there too late to help him as they'd been too busy at the exhibition

No mention of the colour specials in there?

A gag? A GAG?! That's really not very funny.

*sigh*

Well, at least I can stop worrying about it. But someone has yet to answer my other question...

When you say "out of continuity" does that mean these are no longer available for purchase?

It means that the stories do not fall into the normal "one story following or proceeding another story in a normal chronological progression".

The two Leonardo stories have been included in the trade collections, one of them in the hardcover ltd. edition volume only.

the Death of Gen pin-up was reprinted in place of the letter column in one of the semi-recent issues of Usagi Yojimbo. I have no idea if it will be reprinted in a trade volume.

The Tanuki Daimyo's Candy, which is the untitled segment of Nocturnals: Troll Bridge which Stan Sakai contributed, can be found in a Nocturnals trade paperback, I'm not sure what the title of the collection is.

Hare Today, Hare Tomorrow (Usagi Yojimbo meets Space Usagi) has been reprinted in the Space Usagi trade paperbackcollection.

I think Usagi's Ark was reprinted only in one of the ltd. edition hardcover volumes.

Patrick Rabbit Meets Usagi Yojimbo appears only in Phil Yeh's Frank the Unicorn #5 published by Fragments West. If you place an order from them, make sure you also order Patrick Rabbit #2, 3, and 4 because they all contain short stories by Stan Sakai, including "Samurai Kat", which have never be reprinted anywhere else.

Usagi Yojimbo Meets Godzilla pin-up was only published in the San Diego Comic Con program, as far as I know.

The Death of Gen will probably not be reprinted in a trade. It, like most program book contributions, were made for the fun of it and is completely out of Usagi continuity. Some of the misc stuff have be reprinted in The Art of UY vol 1 & 2 from Radio Comix, the Spanish sketchbook, or my own UY Sketchbooks.

The crossovers with Space Ark and Patrick Rabbit have not been reprinted, and I doubt they will ever be. Usagi guest starred in just a few panels.

Jul/1997 Green Persimmon (which you missed ;) )

I just overlooked them as you didn't put (Colour Special xxx) by them. My mistake there :P
