Hello to all!

I was just surfing the net and came across these really cool mini statuettes from Dark horse, see link below:

There's Marv from Sin city, Hellboy and even Groo!! How cool is that? They actually look pretty good.

I wonder if there is any chance that we'll see an Usagi Yojimbo statuette anytime soon?

As a matter of fact, Yes. David Scroggy and I talked about it at San Diego, and agreed that Usagi would make a nice addition to their Syroco sculpture line.

Ohh awesome!! :D You just made my day!

Thanks for that valuable information Stan, I can almost picture him now!!

Has a pose been chosen yet or is it too early to say?

For me personally I love when usagi is wandering the country side and you see one of your beautiful scenary shots in the background and his swords are hung over his shoulder with his straw hat or he has a piece of grass in his mouth. hehe

Kind of like the image from which I took my avatar. I always find those images very tranquil and peaceful.

Although I'd imagine most dojo members will probably want him in a fairly dynamic pose to best represent the character. I guess it really depends on how it all looks in the final sculpt.

Thanks for the heads up, like I said you made my day! I can't wait to have that on my computer desk!

Abayo

P.S. Those tins/boxes that they come in look like really neat as well.

Looks pretty cool but...

...I still like the idea of a multi-piece set of Usagi Yojimbo characters in the 4 inch PVC figures like the Groo set that came out a couple years ago and the more recent Goon set, amoung others. Seems Diane Shultz even mentioned the possability of a set for Usagi's 20th anniversary...
JENNIFER CONTINO (NEWTYPE USA, VOLUME 2 #9, SEPTEMBER 2003) wrote:Surprises that, according to series editor, Dark Horse Manga’s Diana Shutz, include, “A big hardcover book called The Art of Usagi Yojimbo, and, hopefully, a PVC set of figurines, featuring seven different characters… plus a whole slew of other projects!”
There are just too many really cool characters in Usagi's universe that would look great as three dimensional figurines...

Set #1
Miyamoto Usagi
Tomoe Ame
Gennosuke
Zato Ino
Chizu
Inazuma
Jei
Lord Noriyuki

Set #2
Lord Hebi
Kitsune
Sensei Katsuichi
Jotaro
Sanshobo
Kashira Shingen
Sasuké the Demon Queller
Inspector Ishida

(I changed this list since the first time I posted it back in February :D )

Yeah I love the thought of those sets also! That would be awesome! Usagi has such a wide reaching and rich set of characters to choose from.

But maybe we can hope for both the PVC sets and the statuette!

Cheers

Fantastic ideas, and great suggestions, but just one quibble with your lists Steve - where's Spot?!

Spot would be included with Zato Ino 8)
(like the Sage and Mulch, or Groo and Rufferto in the Sergio Aragones figurine set)
