New Usagi Rpg

Post by Pekass »

Well, I open this post to talk about anything related to the new sanguine Usagi rpg, I got by book last week and I've read it all 3 or 4 times (can't remember  )
I think Its a very good book, not just for rpg'ers, as it has a lot of background, history of Japan and region by region description.
It is very well ilustrated too, I mostly like comic like pics that last 3 or 4 pages.

And a little request, I'm looking for good miniatures to ilustrate fights, since I think its the best way to handle fights in this game. If anyone know about some miniatures, other than the old ones they released to ilustrate that, please let me know.

I don't use minitures when I run, but it sure would have come in handy a few times.

I love this game. Probably my current favourite RPG (and I own A LOT!)

The UA RPG is a great game. Unfortunately, I don't think the company that made the game is in business anymore.

There are UY miniatures floating around the internet. Unfortunately, I don't recall the company that made them. There were 2 sets, I know that Usagi, Jei, and Gen were amongst those made. I'm pretty sure that Tomoe Ame is there, and there were either neko ninjas or mogu ninjas. I regret not getting them right when I saw them, but hopefully they are still in some online mini stores..

As for alternates, that’s a tough call if you don't do any alterations to current minis. Reaper makes a new line of Legend of the 5 Rings minis, along with Japanese-ish monsters and such from their own line. The plastic D&D minis have a few samurais, martial artists, and a ninja. Its not too hard to find Japanese styled miniatures, but finding animal humanoid Japanese style miniatures is the trick..

Edit: Dang it, first post and already a big mistake. I missed the fact that you knew about the old UY minis.

If I was a hard core RPG'er- or if I even had the time, I would defonelty try to RPG- but I always think if it was another foarm of D&D...and I cannot stand D&D...I got mad at myself before even starting an RP because I dont know rather to pull off being cute and fluffy or sexy....or a Bunny or Lion ...(most of the time Im a bunny) XD

Butthe part about it having some hostory backround sounds really cool! :D I think I would buy it just for that little detail

Even If you will not play it, I recomend buying it, as it has a lot of background and a detailed map of the Usagi's japan.

And trsut me, UY rpg is not D&D I hate D&D as I dont think it is an rpg anymore, I find it more interesting for playing videogames about it.
