Become a Retainer! Help Wanted!

Anyone out there interested in becoming a UYD-Retainer by helping update the website? If so, PM me. We're looking for new (or existing) retainers to take over web updating responsibilities of various sections within the Dojo.

UYD Retainership is cool. Retainers include Hatamoto, Shinobi, Daimyo, and Taisho. You get your own email account at UsagiYojimbo.com, not to mention the admiration and respect of Stan Sakai and the legions of UY enthusiasts out there. If there are any retainers out there who lack an email account, PM me and I'll set one up for you. Use of the email account is purely optional. But you get your own address @usagiyojimbo.com and a web-based email access interface that rivals Yahoo and Google email accounts!

Currently we are looking for new Hatamoto to take over web updating chores...

Qualifications: ability to work with HTML (full knowledge of code writing NOT required). Ability to scan images (if necessary for some pages). Ability to work with an FTP program to upload pages to the Dojo (unless you work through someone who already has responsibility for updating a section).

Sections in need of updating:
1. Collectibles - updating this section with new UY collectibles like the new Playmates figures, any posters/prints not there, t-shirts, cards, etc...
2. Comics and Storylines (working through DensityDuck, who is already updating the section) - The Comics, The Stories, Epic Storylines
3. The Cast - updating the profiles of the various characters in UY
4. Stan Sakai - updating the section about Stan "The Nicest Guy in Comics" Sakai
5. Conversion and updating of the UY Lettercolumn site

I'd be glad to help update the dojo, but my html knowledge is close to 0 since never worked with it before..... Still I'd pleased to help anyway I could.
As a good Student I am I have lots of free time xD so I wouldnt mind getting to work a little with html.
And after all, I want to see the dojo updated. Some parts of it look pretty left alone (I wonder why savage beasts havent still eaten them xD )

ohhh me! Can I help Todd? Can I ? *squeels* Im currently taking some HTML/DHTML/XHTML- and Dreamweaver- I have great knowlage (now) of how to do HTML by hand and learning now with Dreamweaver ^_^ - time to note LoL!

I'm afraid I'd probably manage to crash the whole Dojo web-site, if not the whole web!

FTP is File Trancefer Protocal. FTP (such as in Dreamweaver FTP)- lets you upload files to a remote server. It is like the same Programs also like Local/Network RDS WebDAV and SourceSafe Database.

Most people use the FTP method to upload their web site documents.

FTP host type the address of the server that will host your web site (ftp.angelfire.com)

Atleast this is what I am learning in Dreamweaver. ^_^

Then you got me who foresakes Dreamweaver, Frontpage and anything like that for the purity of.... Notepad!

Yeah, I do almost all of my web coding and stylesheet design in Notepad. Least it means you don't get any bloatage...

All I can offer is some pictures from Anime North 2005, if the powers that be at the UY Dojo would like to post them.

I have pictures of Usagi's appearances in the original and new TMNT animated series, and in the TMNT fighting game for PS2, of the UY Commodore 64 game, of the pilot animation for Space Usagi, of Usagi rendered in CGI, which I have already posted in another thread, of Mr. Sakai, and of some Usagi art that Mr. Sakai brought with him.

If you would like them for the Dojo, just post here or PM me and tell me what size you would like the pictures to be.

No Prob! yay! Todd said you would be a lot of help, I just got done making the table layout for the page, hopefully this will be a lot more organized. I will let you know shortly of what I will need etc- I just dont want to now- because Im still making other things that could benifit ot the accutal page set up, now that I dont have much school work- I am dedicated atleast two days out of the week on working on the page.^_^
