Cool! We made it into the UY Letters Column!

Hello UY Fans,

I've had a long month at work. I advise three college Peer Health Education groups and I had to give a few health lectures for courses this month. We are always busy with family stuff on the weekends, so it wasn't until yesterday that I was able to visit my local comic book store to pick up the only comic I collect: UY. (The owner told me, "We got to work on expanding your reading list.")

It was working late again last night, so it wasn't until today that I was able to sit down (after we put the kids to bed - that always takes at least 1/2 hour) and read issue #90.

I was enjoying the storytelling and I get to the end and think, "I have to wait to read the next issue to find out what happens. Argh."

Then I look at the letter column and see "Reader Michael Takahara . . .

Hey, that's my name.

Well, like the comic fanboy I am, I feel, "This is the coolest thing. I've been published in my favorite comic." So nerdy yet so cool.

But it never would have happened if it wasn't for this UY Dojo.

I never would have asked Mr. Sakai the questions.
I never would have submitted if it wasn't for:

1) Mr. Sakai saying not enough letters are being sent to Diana.
2) Steve suggestion that I submit the on-line interview questions as a letter.

So thank you all for making UY Dojo a place to celebrate and connect fans of great Rabbit Ronin storytelling. You all made my day.

Peace,

Maka (who will probably go buy another issue #90 to show all his friends how a 35 year old can still be a fanboy) :D

P.S. I encourage you all to write to dianas@darkhorse.com and tell her specific things you like about UY, Mr. Sakai, folk tales, ghost stories, whatever. It feels good to see your name in print in a UY comic.

Thank you, Maka. Diana thought it was a really good interview, and suggested we publish it.
