Reaction to the final panel of USAGI #91:

Uh oh.

I have to agree.

Poor Tomoe...

Also, I was surprised to see Usagi throw his sword. I thought such an act was always deemed unthinkable by Bushido, as the daisho is the soul of the samurai.

In fact, this played an important role in a Lone Wolf & Cub story.

Anyway, great issue, as always.

Itto threw his sword frequently throughout the 28 volumes of Lone Wolf and Cub. It is what (and who) that scene in UY #91 immediately reminded me of when I read it.

I also agree about Tomoe. Things are sure to get interesting when she finds out what is being planned and who with.

Abayo....

Yes, I know, but I remember one story where it was much more significant than the other times.

Oh my God

THAT's him?? We'll have to see what his character's like....

Interesting to see that Hikiji's still ssticking his nose in Geishu affairs (more or less)...I onder if the Neko Ninja are still looking for Chizu?

Why do I get the feeling things will end badly when Tomoe is given the news.

I mean I'd rather have Tomoe get hitched to Hikiji than that guy. Yeesh.

Stan sure knows how to get his fans rilled up, eh?

Depends on how suicidal the Geishu clan would happen to be feeling x_x I'd rather it was Saburo!

I wonder what Noriko would say about her sister's arranged marriage? *evil grin*

Maybe he's actually got a "beautiful inside" to make up for his outside XP

Oh no worries there, just I have to wait to see just exactly what everyone is complaining about :P

Maybe FP will have it if I pay a visit on Monday... when did #91 come out in the US?

I'm horrified that they are going to discard Tomoe into a marriage.

See this is where we need one of those ever so convenient plot devices where the bad guy just drops dead of natural causes thus removing offending storylines.

I've actually got a terrific plotline in my head involving Tomoe's marriage, a discovery of her part about a plot against the Genshu clan and a mysterious intervention from a mysterious individual (a gaijin in fact) but it's the sort of thing Stan won't do in a million years sadly ;)

Oh yes we can dream... still, Stan knows there would be outcry here if Tomoe was to be "given away" so cheaply heh...

But it's logical that this is happening...after all, Usagi's just a ronin, and marrying her off to him for love would be too risky for Noriyuki. Arranging for her to marry another daimyo would be a better option politically as well as financially (no matter how repulsive Ito is >_<)
