San Diego Con info needed

My wife's son and his Navy family is stationed in San Diego, and my wife's been wanting to go out for a visit this summer. I talked her into going the weekend of the SDCC, and it'll be my first time out there.

I'm used to the sizes of MidOhioCon and the Pittsburgh Comicon, so I know I'll be in for a shock at San Diego.

I've noticed there is no ticket information on their web site. How much are tickets? When do they go on sale, and can you buy them through the mail or online?? And, since I'll probably only get one day to go, which is the day most recommended to go?

Thanks for your help!

There were 65,000 or more people at the 2002 SD Con so be prepared for crowds. The biggest day will be Saturday. People had to wait hours to purchase tickets for that day. Preregister if you can, but I don't know if you can buy single day tickets that way. Preregistration prices are: adults $50 postmarked by April 16, $60 if postmarked by June 5, and $65 after that including at-the-door price.

The first update just came out. See if you can request one from the con website:

Thanks for the information, Stan!

In fact, I just got the update #1 from the convention people on Monday... read the whole thing. You're right... doesn't say a thing about one-day memberships, but I have to assume they would be around $20 to $25 per day. It definitely sounds like it would be less trouble -- and less time waiting in line -- to go ahead and order the 4 day pass.

Thanks again for your help!
