Usagi Yojimbo DojoBoard

Hello everybody,
I've just joined the Dojo after reading it now and then the last few months; I must say I envy you for being in relatively close touch with Stan Sakai, for being able to meet him on Cons.

Imagine, just walk around a corner and suddenly seeing Him....

It was only when I read that Stan Sakai was in France for a visit that I realised how easy it would have been to meet Him... had only I known about it...

Would it be possible to make a note somewhere (in the Dojo or the forum, I mean) about Stan Sakai's official appearences ? And, mind you, I'm not thinking about Big Brother-like surveillance...

If you go into the "news" forum, Stan usually updates where he will be appearing at.

As you have probably discovered, Stan has already made plans for being in both France and Belgium for several weeks at the end of October and the beginning of November.

Back when the trip to France and Belgium were first announced, I asked Stan by PM whether a stop in Germany might also be squeezed into the trip to possibly coinside with the upcoming release of Usagi Yojimbo bd #3 from Schwarzer Turm. This is the reply I received:

Herzlich willkommen, Thomas. We have English, Polish, French, Spanish, Portuguese, now German people on the Dojo, almost all Europe. Let's sing the Ode to Joy.

sure, let's sing...but wait, which lingo should we use?!?
Would be kind of unfair to choose the original language of the Ode to Joy, what with all the Umlaute ....

I dare say, if Stan Sakai wanted to take a tour around Europe, he could easily save the hotel money and stay at the homes of his admirers.... And wouldn't that be cool, being the host for such a fascinating artist??

But that is me dreaming again;

I must say I'm a bit confused, everybody (or a lot, anyway) discussing issue 99 up; Untill now I've only read the TPB, and the last one collected issues 76-82....
Maybe I should get the shimmy single issue comics as well, just to keep up with the discussion board

We can sing it in Esperanto. Cosmo knows the language.

We have actually had something of a German Dojo for a really long time now. I think there's a Finnish one somewhere out there too...
