Hello,
how to describe....
Well, it's format is that of a regular comic with around 46 pages.
It begins with Stan's introduction about how he works (as seen in "The Art of Usagi Yojimbo", published 2004; Seems his style didn't change much

) and goes on with an example story, "The Courage of the Plum", where we see how an idea becomes a concept, a series of sketches and later a story. A few unused or alternative pages of published stories (Lone Rabbit and Child, Noodles, just to name a few) and lots of unused but highly elaborate cover concepts round off that very reasonably priced art book (well, comic to be exact).
Ok, it was reasonably priced in
1997 with 4 US$; I don't know how much it may cost now. I was lucky to get it for laughably 3,50 € two months ago.
I found it really enjoyable to have a deeper look into how Sensei works; and, I have to say, many comic artists would be proud and happy to produce such high quality art which is labeled "Unused" or even "Rejected" here....
Hoping to be of service here with

If you would like to know how to step by step plan, write, draw, ink and letter a comic, then this book is a treasure. I have a copy and it is one of the most useful resources I have.
