To all the complainers who say that Marvel's all crap and DC's all crap, I say, "Come on over and start reading Usagi Yojimbo!" It will cheer you right up.
Watching television is not an activity.

It's funny you say that Captain70. Im a huge fan of comics. I get lots of Marvels and DCs and lately both companies have been bugging me. I had this exact discussion with a friend of mine last week.
DC with their multiple crisises. Actually the fact that they seemed to drop the ball with the creative teams on Flash, Wonder Woman and Superman. The first 6 issues of Flash were horrible, the first story arc for Superman and Wonder Woman havent even finished and they went on to new ones becuase the artists or writers were taking too long. Plus they killed off Superboy, the reason I started collecting DC comics again during the Reign of the Supermen. Then Marvel goes and puts Bruce Jones on Incredible Hulk and the whole 3 year reign didn't make a lick of sense. Thank God for Pak. Planet Hulk and World War Hulk are fantastic.
After my rant, he asked why I even like comics.....I smiled and replied, "Usagi Yojimbo"

I have to agree with you 100% MikeM regarding the current state of DC and Marvel comics. I hate what they are doing to Spider-man, hate the multi-verse, and really am begining to get tired of super hero books.

Each week my comic pile gets lower and lower from my local comic shop. As it is now, I only buy:

Usagi Yojimbo
Fables
Jack of Fables
Green Lantern
Haunted Mansion
Gargoyles
any Don Rosa and Carl Barks Uncle Scrooge

I am so happy I have my Usagi trades to read. I just finished book 9 tonight (Runaways was SO sad, my heart ached for Usagi) and began 10. I see myself reading Usagi even when I lost interest in all my other titles.

DC and Marvel and even Image seem to be suffering from the same troubles. Their books lack a constant something. Sometimes the art is great, sometimes the writing is great, but never are both the same and never are they constant.

In Usagi I have yet to find an issue I do not like. Every issue is brilliantly written and drawn. It really is one of the BEST books out there today and I am doing my part to make sure all my friends read this book.
