What's the difference?!?

Can anyone tell me the difference between Hard Cover Editions of Usagi and Trades? Do the HCE's have more artwork?
I am an aspiring cartoonist and wish to afford the Trades, which I have yet to buy until I can resolve my debt. Hopefully all volumes will still be in print by then...I may just have to pick them up at my local library.
I am going to follow Sensei's style, I must master it.

Hareblade, The HC editions are signed and numbered, under the dust jacket the cover is beautifully embossed. The endpapers have art in them. Book 4 had "Return to Adachigahara Plain" beautifully done as a water color. The HC editions to me are more permanent and lasting as is any hard cover book. I also have all the trades in paper back for frequent rereading and reference. Unfortunately I'm missing a couple HC editions because at one time I was on a tight budget but now im kicking myself for not obtaining them when I had the chance. I would love to see in the future a deluxe collection perhaps maybe 4 HC editions in a set, kind of like The Carl Barks Library.
So you're telling me there is a chance!?!

So, if I get the Trades the end papers will not be in them, only EP's are in the HCE's? A collection compiled would be cool!!!

That is the nature of most, if not all, hard cover books--they have endpapers. We chose to illustrate the ones in the Usagi books. Some of the endpapers have been reprinted in The Art of UY and in the sketchbooks.

If you can afford them, the HCs are the way to go in collecting Usagi, IMHO.

I have all the trades (even the elusive 18 ).
I just started getting the trades in HC with volume 21.
They look nice and are signed and numbered. It's going to be very hard to find the earlier hard covers.
