But isn't the title "Sketchbook" a bit understated for such eleborate art?
Don't get me wrong, a full color sketchbook is a great idea, but I enjoy the "sketchy" aspect as well. It gives an idea how Sensei's work developed into what is actually published...
Greetings from overseas

I was wondering why this thread seemed seemed like it should have been longer, then I realized that it actually started over at Stan's LiveJournal page......

UY Sketchbook 5
I want the next Usagi Sketchbook to be in full color, which means that I'll have to do a lot more color work to fill it up. I never learned to use Photoshop, because I like working with real colors--oils, acrylics, water colors, and cel vinyl.
I figured that if I do about three pieces a month, I'll have enough to send to the printer in the late spring. It just trying to find the time.
Here's my latest effort.

Tour de Comic-Con
And speaking of sketchbooks, here is a sketch from CCI San Diego 2007 which really needs to be included in an upcoming sketchbook

CAPS auction
The CAPS (Comic Arts Professional Society) auction takes place in a couple of weeks. Here is my donation.
I really like images of Usagi and weather. I've done quite a few snow scenes--for the Paquet 10th anniversary book and the Glimpses of Death HC endpaper, to name a couple.
This was done with ink, and watercolors. I then used prismacolor pencils to strengthen some shadows and add blush to his cheeks.
