El Salón del Cómic echa el cierre con los premios HaxturCarlos Giménez recibió los galardones del público y de mejor historia corta

Han sido cinco días en los que el cómic ha reinado en buena parte del escenario cultural gijonés. Coloquios, charlas, exposiciones y distintos eventos han formado parte del XXXI Salón Internacional del Cómic, que como ocurre cada año ha atraído a reconocidos dibujantes nacionales e internacionales de las viñetas. Al igual que el pasado martes, cuando se inauguró en el Teatro Jovellanos, el Salón repitió escenario para la clausura.
Hacia las siete de la tarde se inició la cuenta atrás. En primer lugar, subieron al escenario los acertantes de las quinielas Haxtur, con la entrega del premio Capitán Misterio al más fino en sus predicciones. Después, el turno fue para el dibujante Michael Golden, y acto seguido, para el artista canadiense Travis Charest. Ambos participaron en sendos coloquios en la clausura.
Transcurridas las dos charlas llegó uno de los momentos álgidos de la clausura: la entrega de los Premios Haxtur 2007 en cada una de las diez categorías. Algunos premiados ya se conocían, debido al homenaje que se les brindaba en el festival. Así ocurría con Luis Olmo y Maurice Horn. En el primer caso, el creador del popular Pepín de Celes recibió el premio 'Al autor que amamos', que se concede de forma honorífica a guionistas y dibujantes del cómic que han dedicado una vida entera a las viñetas.
El otro premiado que recibió una distinción especial fue el francés Maurice Horn. Recibió el 'John Buscema', galardón con el que se reconoce la figura de aquellos que han fomentado la figura del cómic como medio de expresión, de comunicación y arte.
En la ceremonia también se desvelaron los ganadores en las categorías de los Haxtur donde había nominados. Sakai, junto a Imaizumi y Taniguchi, recibieron ex aequo el de mejor historia larga; Kraehn el de mejor guión; García López el de mejor dibujo; mientras que Carlos Giménez se llevó dos galardones al obtener el de mejor historia corta y el de finalista más votado, premio concedido por el público. En la categoría de portada, Simonson fue el elegido y Maitena hizo lo propio en humor. En la distinción editorial se impuso Planeta deAgostini. Tras los premios, los artistas realizaron unos dibujos sobre unos paneles en 'Cómic en vivo'.

They have been five days in which cómic has reigned in good part of the gijonian cultural scene. Colloquies, to char them, exhibitions and different events have comprised of XXXI the Hall the International the Cómic, that as it happens every year it has attracted recognized national and international sketchers of viñetas. Like the past Tuesday, when it was inaugurated in the Jovellanos Theater, the Hall repeated scene for the closing.
Towards the seven afternoon the count down began. In the first place, the winners of quinielas Haxtur raised the scene, with the delivery of the prize Captain Mystery to finest in their predictions. Later, the turn was for the sketcher Michael Golden, and immediately afterwards, for the Canadian artist Travis Charest. Both participated in individual colloquies in the closing.

Some awarded already were known, due to the tribute that offered them in the festival. Thus it happened with Luis Olmo and Maurice Horn.
