If your local comic shop already carries comics from the United States, ask them to start ordering Usagi for you (and your friends), let them know that the comic will sell if the store can get it.

There has only ben a couple foreign language editions of Usagi Yojimbo published in comic book format. Out of those, the Swedish series from the early 1990's was the only series to be released on a regular (bi-monthly) schedule. Unfortunately, it was discontinued after two years.

Egmont did publish a special Usagi Yojimbo comic book which was included as an insert in a magazine or newspaper for initial distribution.

USAGI YOJIMBO: KULTOWA KOLEKCJA KOMIKSÓW
issue: 3 Lipiec (July) /2005 b/w comic, 24 pgs. Polish language

If you and your friends all keep writing Egmont and keep telling them that you all want Usagi Yojimbo as a monthly (or b-monthly) comic book series from them (as well as in book form), maybe they will give it a try.

I would imagine that the main job is to convince Egmont (or which-ever Polska publisher) to want to start publishing the new issues of the comic series. But you could also write to the US publisher / letter pages of Usagi Yojimbo at Dark Horse Comics and express your desires to them as well.

Usagi Yojimbo Letters Column
c/o Dark Horse Comics
10956 SE Main Street
Milwaukie, OR 97222
USA

It can never hurt to write to the publishers and tell them what you would like, and it only costs a little time and a few stamps.

Abayo....

Comics in poland aren't popular. 99 percent of people never reads them, if anythin is read it is a book, but 70 percent of polish people have not read any book in 4 years (from official last enquiry about it).

So, Szczecin have about 500 000 citiziens...and...believe me or not, there is no 1 comics store in whole city :?. Only empiks but they arent sellin only comics and do not import anythin from anywhere to poland.

---

I can read in english so i can order uy from usa and read it - but shipment is rly expensive so its not that good (prices of books and comics arent that high with 1$=2.30 pln)

Ok i will try to make some people write to egmont about lettin out uy monthly, but they don't like uy fans much. Cause we arent they main source of cash, and they are increasin prices of uy books (there were books for 19,9, there were for 22, 25, 26, 27.90 now, so i think they will not do that for polish fans.
