Aghhhhh....Stan or Gail Simone for best writer?
I hate to say it but I gotta go with Gail.
What she's done with Wonder Woman is nothing short of a miracle. Stan is always good. Sorry.
But Stan for pretty much everything else.

A few years ago, I probably would have voted differantly, but having to choose between Sergio and Stan in so many catagories, I had to go with Stan Sakai at this point. I even chose Stan over Mark Evanier as best writer.
I still think Fever Dream should have been nominated as a choice for best story. Tomoe cutting down a Jei-ified Usagi (not to mention the reappearance of Chizu) made that an awesome story. And ask Morna-san about that cover!

I voted for Sakai and UY in every category in which they were nominated (don't forget to vote for Diana Schutz as best editor!) and also placed a couple for Groo and Aragones. I love both Groo and UY, but I've been a UY fan longer, so that's the one I favor.

I'm really glad to see that Mr. Sakai made it into so many categories! Usagi Yojimbo is the only comic book that I continued to collect for the past 20 years. Even in the teen and newlywed years.
Dark Horse got my vote for continuing to publish UY, Tom Luth for the brilliant color covers, Diana Schutz for her consistent work, Usagi for being the best character of the past 25 years, and Stan Sakai for making all that possible.
Everyone needs to vote!!!
