Thanks John !
And Stan told the B&W didn't look as cool as the color version ! i really like the B&W version. The fact that we see this cover on comic fan art, does it mean it has been bought ?

Yes it does. His gallery consists of 31 pieces of Stan's art.

Very nice. The cover of #99 is one of my favorite UY covers.

I should have asked Stan the price of this cover. I sent an email to Rodney, he knows now that if he is looking for a new home for this cover my appartment could take in this piece

The cover fully coloured would have cost you a grand.
I already asked.

I fully intended to color it because there were too many lines, but I just did not have the time.
I sold it for much less than a grand.

It sure would have been cool to have been able to compare your color version to Tom Luth's version.....

Next time i have a blow of heart for a cover i will ask.
I really adore the colored version, but in fact, i really adore the B&W version too, even if they are very different in someway, hmm well i am not clear but at this hour this is normal (and i really adore too the cover i own! )
How much time would have you expected to do the color on such a piece ?
Did Tom Luth made the color of all the covers, or have you already made the color for a cover ?

I'm not a very fast colorist, that is why I have Tom do the coloring for me. It would take at least a day, probably much more to color such a cover.
I did color a few covers besides the ones for the paperback collection. Fantagraphics #4 and 5, and Dark Horse 1,2,3, and 10. Maybe one or two more.

I liked the B&W version of the cover...but the colour one is just off the hook.
I would have made you colour it, Mr. Sakai.

I, too, love this cover. It's one of my favorites. I would NOT have made Stan colour it.
