Mr. S-- have you been contacted by 4Kids regarding any possible appearances of Usagi in the "new" version of the toon?

If it is for the coming season, then yes. Usagi and Gen will be making brief cameos. Gen even dresses up in formal attire.

I regret Space Usagi and Rhogen never made it to TMNT Fast Forward, as the Turtles went back to present time. It was a good two-part story, and the character designs were quite nice.

Brief cameos? *pouts* I'd rather see them in a story or two.

I regret the Fast Forward thing as well-- that "series" started out so bad-- or rather, as a bad taste in the mouths of many fans-- and then just when it was getting good and people were actually liking it (NOT to mention the happy news that Space Usagi would be appearing)-- they change directions again!

Maybe someday they might post the storyboards or whatever? That would be sweet to see.

Gen and Usagi in TMNT? Cool!

Aw, that stinks that Space Usagi didn't make Fast Forward, I really enjoyed the character.

Comic adaptation of aborted Space Usagi TMNT FF episode?

I found this in the comments section of Peter Laird's blog:

I want to stick an "Ask Peter" question in here. I had asked Stan Sakai if Usagi would be appearing in the newest version of the toon, and he said yes, in a few brief cameos, etc... and the aborted two-parter of Fast Forward with Space Usagi came up, and he had said it was a shame it wasn't made and how good the story seemed and the art as well. So, is there any way that you or Murphy could post at least a synops or a few storyboard pics of what that would have been like (or at least get 4Kids to maybe do it at their site?)?

Cynthia, envying you all."

Cynthia, I hadn't thought about that story in a while, but your comment has made me think that it might be possible to see it published in some interesting fashion... perhaps in an "Unseen Tales of the TMNT" -type comic which could adapt stories which were written for the TV series but which for whatever reason never made it to air. Hmm... I wonder if Stan Sakai himself would be interested in drawing it? -- PL
