upcoming usagi
I was planning out the stories for the next few issue and this is what's coming up. I had originally wanted the Father and Son story arc to be 7 issues but it seems it will be double that--about two book collections. Anyway, upcoming are:
UY 61--Out of the Shadows. The return of Chizu
UY 62--Ghost Warriors. Jotaro and Usagi in a haunted forest.
UY 63(just sent to Diana)--Komainu. The return of Kitsune...and it looks like she's innocent of a crime (for once).
UY 64--Tamago. The pair meet up with a little priest and together they foil an assassination.
UY 65--Usagi and the Tengu. Usagi tells Jotaro a story from his past.
UY 66-67--The Return of Sasuke
All this is tentative, of course, and is subject to change.

Usagi
I've always waited and purchased the hardcovers. Ever since 'the duel' I've wanted to start picking up the comics. I guess I'll have to visit eBay and see if anyone is selling the last 15 issues. If I stick with my HC purchases I won't know the outcome of the duel or even get to enjoy these latest stories until 2004
. Maybe it's time I start frequenting comic shops again.
Issue 63 sounds good. I loved Kitsune in "Noodles". Possibly my favorite Usagi Story ever
. Very sad though
(Anyone who posts...Please don't spoil the duel outcome here)

Chizu
I'm excited to see the return of Chizu, who is in my opinion one of the most interesting characters in Usagi. With her (former) allegance to the Neku ninja, her friendship with Usagi conflicting in a way that does not let her fall back on a set moral code -- she must follow her concious in order to make decisions, even more so than Usagi, who at least has his samauri background to guide him (although this has been called into question recently). It will be interesting to see what she does now that she's on her own and on the run. Actually, I'd like to see a Chizu mini-series come to think of it!
I'm also excited that Jotaro will be accompaning Usagi for a while, since I enjoy the dynamics they have together. Reminds me somewhat of Carl Barks' duck stories, at least judging from the preview covers on the darkhorse site. Thanks for the update, stan![/img]

Yeah, Noodles was really touching. I'm not exactly Kitsune's biggest fan, but this story worked so well. It reminded me alot of "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck.
Looking forward to read the new stories, Mr. Sakai. However, I only collect the paperbacks (suits my budget better) so I suppose I have to wait for a while.

Looks like some interesting stories, but I'm still waiting for stories that bring up the Eta and the "blackship" foreigners. Some potentially interesting issues that have been mentioned briefly in earlier stories.
Oh, and yes... Hope Stan won't kill Chizu too. But somehow I don't think so (knock on wood)
Cheers,
Lance McKay

Upcoming Usagi.
I missed the Yagi/Gorogoro/Jataro arc of the father and son series. And I can't find ANY back issues up here in Canada!! Is there any way that I could get copies of these issues?? I would be most appreciative.
