Was there ever a color verion of "Noodles?"

Post by Jet_Jaguar »

I was browsing around Wikipedia yesterday, and I found a page for Kitsune that says that "Noodles" was originally going to be part of the Mirage run before it ended up being the first story of the Dark Horse run. Since all of the Mirage issues were in color, I was wondering if "Noodles" was ever colored before it got shifted to Dark Horse or if that happened before it was colored.

(I apologize if this is something that gets asked regularly. I searched for "noodles color," and nothing came up that answered my question.)

Noodles was never colored, nor was it ever intended to be colored, nor was it ever to have been published by Mirage.

True, the Dark Horse volumes picks up immediately where the Mirage books ends, but there was a Space Usagi story that DH published before publishing the ongoing Usagi series. That gave me time to plan out a few Usagi stories.

My original contract with DH was for 6 issues. I chose to do the 3-part Space Usagi to start off. That is why the first 3 issues of the DH runs says "1or3", "2of3", or something like that. By the time the first issue came out, however, we had already decided to continue our relationship indefinitely.

Hope that explains it.

Thanks. That clears things up. I didn't know that the thid Space Usagi series was the first of your works to be published by Dark Horse.
