Many Thanks...
I would just like to take this opportunity to thank the creator's of this site. I first got into Usagi at college. I had a friend who handed me an issue of "Critters" and told me to look at the story about the samurai rabbit. I have been hooked ever since.I have followed the adventures of Usagi from the pages of "Crtters" through all of the publishers of Usagi's stories up to the presesnt time. There have been times when I have strayed away from Usagi ,but, I have always returned. I buy the comics where I can find them and pick up the trade paperbacks. I saw Sakai-sensei at an Anime convention up here in Canada and have even had a couple of my fan drawings published in the back of an issue of Usagi. And for that...I am grateful. I am even working on a comicbook idea of my own "sword-slinger" right now and I have Sakai-sensei and this website to thank for the inspiration that you both have had ( and still do have) on me and my artistic ventures. I suffer from clinical depression, panic attacks and some social-phobias and will be on medications for the rest of my life.( and I am 52 now.) This site gives me a place to come and inter-act with other people and freely exchange thoughts and ideas. And I thank you most gratefully for this site. And Sakai-sensei for his wonderful creation. You don't know how much this all means to me. So...domo-arigato!!

Nice Note Robert,
Yes, we have to thank the creator, Todd, and Stan Sakai. But it's also the people like you and other UY fans who make this site so great.
It's been said before but I repeat it again: Other sites people have a disrespect for others that sometimes shows up in their post. They put each other down or act so rude in ways that they probably would not in public. But the UYD has been a positive place for us fans. Some of that has to do with the moderators. But credit should also go to us fans.
We are glad you are here to enjoy UY and life with the rest of us fanboys/girls.
Peace, maka

Thanks.
Its nice to know that I'm not alone in this respect.Thank you Gaffey for sharing with me. My "illness" has been a great burden on me for many, many moons now and this computer of mine has allowed me to get "out there" with my thoughts and ideas. This website has been ( and still is ) a God send to me. And Usagi in general, has been a God send as well. I don't feel so alone now. Once again...Domo arigato Gaffey. Abayo!

Robert,
You are welcome! Stan and I have been working together on the Dojo going strong for over 12 years now, and along the way many of the fans have stepped up to help us carry out the Dojo vision -- to create a place where Usagi fans can visit, learn, and interact. It's really the fans who have made the Dojo the success it is today. Thanks for the kind words, it's appreciated.

Usagi fans I have found are some of the most disciplined, courteous, and kind people in comics fandom. I have visited many other sites where the fans just dump on each other to no end. It's sad. That was never the vision for the Dojo...thing is, I have really never had to enforce the vision. There've been a few instances, but for the most part the fans have really kept it together...and it's appreciated.Maka wrote:Nice Note Robert,
