Usagi Yojimbo: Special Graphic Novel - Fall 2009
Dark Horse is planning a new, fully painted 57 page graphic novel to celebrate UY's 25th anniversary. It will take Stan a full three months to write, draw, and paint it, so expect it in fall of 2009. He's debating between a couple of stories for this one--the return of Jei, or Sasuke and obakemono monsters. He's leaning toward Sasuke because it would be fun to draw all those obake from the scary stuff to the goofy ones.

Definetly Sasuke; for it will be something out of the continuity, and I'm sure we'll have Jei return in Usagi sometime.
And, yes, it will be a pleasure to see Sensei's versions of all the various Japanese monsters and mythological creatures... and to read the story notes, of course...

I'd like to see more adventures of sasuke...but jei is one of the best characters, so i'd love to see him reappear too

Why bother? It will be only great art, a fascinating story, some punch lines and some surprising twists in the story.... as usual...

Have to go with Todd on this one. A Sasuke vs. Jei battle royale is long overdue, and a graphic novel would be ideal to showcase it. Maybe even the Lord of Owls could make an appearence...?
