What's next? You decide.
The Father & Son story arc will end in Usagi #75, and I was thinking of doing an arc of short stories called Glimpses of Death. Usagi will, of course, star in most of these stories but some will be non-Usagi stories featuring secondary characters.
Who would you like to see starring in a story? Okay, okay--Inspector Ishida will be at the top of the list.
I'm taking suggestions.

His name escapes me, and since I am not at home, I can't run downstairs to check. The lord of the owls guy. God, that is a pathetic description, I'm sorry. I can't remember his name, but I thought he was a really cool character, and he did tell Usagi that they would meet again soon. Maybe the owl will come back to tell the premonition of another death? That's just a thought. I also really like Lord Hebi. That issue where his caravan was attacked and he chomped everyone who got near him was really cool. What do ya think?

How about something with Zato Ino (pre-wooden nose)? Wooden nose would also doStan Sakai wrote:I was thinking of doing an arc of short stories called Glimpses of Death

The shogun has spoken, we need more Tomoe Ame.Todd Shogun wrote: Tomoe Ame!
So let it be written, so let it be done.
(seriously tho, Tomoe stories are good)
Noriyuki INDEPENDENT of Tomoe could be interesting as well,
Sanshobo is a winner
Katsuichi stories are good, and something involving his friend at the dojo would be great.
(but mostly Tomoe, definitely Tomoe Ame)

My choices would be similar to Todd's, perhaps ranked a bit differently. Mostly, I'd want to see a Jei/Inazuma origin story. Other than that, I'd be happy to have stories about Tomoe, Kitsune, and/or Chizu. In fact, I'd love to see a single story that involves many/all of the female characters. A cover with the ladies in the art noveau style would be rather cool, too.

I would love to see Sasuke again!
Chizu stories would also be appreciated.

I was just re-reading Momo-Usagi-Taro last night, and it occured to me that a tension-filled story might be had out of Inukai and Usagi actually running into each other at that orphanage.
Mebbe a Woodcutter-couple solo adventure?
I'm not sure of the timing's right, but since Usagi seems to get around a lot in the south part of the country, perhaps a brief interaction with some namban who isn't a temporally-shifted turtle might be interesting.

Whoa, you read my mind!Who would you like to see starring in a story? Okay, okay--Inspector Ishida will be at the top of the list.
Well, since all the interesting (and long-awaited) choices have already been said, I'll try to say something less obvious. What about Shizukiri (sp?), that hired swordsman who almost fought against Gen and Usagi in "Showdown" (book 16 "The Shrouded Moon")? That was a cool guy.

Inspector Ishida definitely.
Tomoe will be in UY 72 (with a very small cameo in 73), but I'll do a story with her just for Todd.
Shizukiri--I didn't think of him, but he has possibilities.
The stories will be about 8-24 pages, so I won't have time to do a really involved story, so probably no cross-overs with other characters, or Jei's origin. Though an Inazuma story would be good.

why not have a kinda usagi/Tomoe Ame reunion thing go on or have something where he is really involved in his son's life
it takes a minute to love someone,a second to loose them, a lifetime to try and forget, but above all of this the knowledge to try and move on. You wont ever pick up all the pieces of a broken heart
