Tom Spurgeon's annual Comic-con International: San Diego tips deserves a thread of its own:

I've bookmarked Tom's tips and am slowly follow up on some of the links. I'm finding it very helpful, especially since this will be the first time I (and my family) will be attending. I booked market last year's tips but found this year's list less overwhelming.
Mark Evanier blog on Sunday stated that SDCC is official sold out.

Who on this board is going to SDCC this year?
Peace, maka

One aspect that irritates me to no end about Cons, are the geeks that insist on bringing every damn issue a particular creator has done over his or her career. Twenty, even thirty issues!
Most creators are happy to sign every issue, but they tie up the line for hours on end and do a disservice to the other people waiting in line.
The most I bring for a creator to sign is 8 comics. Usually, I bring only four. Simply because I don't want to lug the damn things for three full days.
So pick the choicest comics and get them signed.
Show some courtesy for your fellow geeks!

I don't even bring that many. To be fair, often times for me space is at a premium, so I usually will only bring one, maybe two things to get signed.
And if you see Triumph, run!

And if you see a man with a puppet dog smoking a cigar at the end of his hand : RUN to the nearest exit!
