Motor City--what to bring
I will be leaving for the Motor City Con in Novi, MI in less than two weeks. I was thinking of bringing Books 1 and 2 and Yokai, some sketchbooks, and, of course, my portfolio of con drawings.
Is there anything else those attending would like me to bring--specific cover art, a back issue or book, etc? If you want anything, post it here or send me a PM. I don't think I will have time for specific commissions, because I am still playing catch up with deadlines.
I hope to have a new 8.5x11 inch full color lithograph printed up in time for the show. I won't have time to put Sketchbook 7 together by then, though.
Even if you contacted me before about bringing something, please do so again. If you PM me, type in "Motor City" in the subject box.

Hi Stan,
Can't wait to see you at Motor City! Do you have any remaining copies of Turtle Soup that you could bring? If there are any other books Usagi has appeared in over the past two years (little Ellie has kept me from staying on top of this), I'd love if you could bring them.
Thanks so much!
EDIT: Oh, and will you be bringing Usagi plush dolls? I'll need one for Ellie AND one for me

I must have Turtle Soup somewhere, but was unable to find them the last time I looked for them. It is probably somewhere I thought was so obvious at that time. Has Usagi made other appearances in the last couple of years? I don't know. Can anyone help me with this?shaxper wrote:Hi Stan,

Sorry to put you to work on this one. I think the only appearance was for Free Comic Book Day last year (I have that one), but it seems possible that I missed something.Stan Sakai wrote:

what to bring
Please bring the Space Usagi Limited Hardcover and the Travels with Jotaro Limited Hardcover to give to Steve Hubbell, as he is arranging the mailing of these to me. Your check is in the mail!

Thanks for this! I will see you there on Saturday of the show!
If you could bring Yokai and Volume 21 of the trades--my comic shop has been having trouble getting them in. I hope they don't show up this week since I'm asking you for them!
There were other folks around the boards looking for 8, 9, 10, and 11 since those were out of print. I found mine, but some people might be looking for them. Sellers have been gouging folks on E-bay for 8-11.
Thanks again! I'm looking forward to meeting you!

If you're going to be at MCC on Saturday, you might be interested in joining us all at the dinner with Stan (and possibly Sergio) that evening. There's a whole thread about it here: http://www.usagiyojimbo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5187
Let me know if you'd like to come along!
