seeing as I've finally got round to getting the Hellboy Library Editions it got me thinking...
how cool would it be for Dark Horse to reprint Usagi in that format? okay, that format wouldn't quite match the Fantagraphics set coming out later this year, but it'd still be spectacular!
any chance of this happening, Stan?
here's hoping!

From what I understand there are library editions of each trade already out there.
'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (Jesus –who died on the cross for all our sins), that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but, have eternal life.' -John 3:16 (New Testament - Bible)

I went and took a look at the amazon page for the first Hellboy Library Edition before I made this post because I had a feeling that you were referring to something more than just a trade paperback refitted with a modified hardcover.
The Hellboy series of Library Editions look really nice, but when you consider that this seems to be the first time these books have seen print in hardcover, they deserve the special treatment. Looking around on Amazon, the only book I saw that listed a hardcover edition was the very first Hellboy book, and that edition was listed as an import.
Ignoring the fact that most of the Usagi books have this many pages each, and that they have all been published once already in hardcover (not counting "library bound" editions), I think it would still be really cool to see the Usagi books paired up two by two and released in this type of edition with similar dimensions - 12.5 X 9.2 x whatever thickness.....

sorry tru2guz, I didn't quite make myself clear...
as Steve has pointed out the Hellboy Library Editions are oversized hardcovers that reprint 2 trades per volume.
and yes, seeing as the only Hellboy that got the hardcover treatment was 'Seed Of Destruction' (signed & numbered by Mignola & Byrne) in a rather natty slipcase.
yeah, Usagi already gets printed in hc (I've finally tracked down the one I'm missing though. huzzah!) but I really do feel that Stan's art deserves the oversized format... that and it'd look good on the shelf next to 'The Art Of Usagi'! ;)
