Why is it two different covers of book 24?

It actually only has one cover, the red one of Usagi in the rain.

Book stores require about a 9 month lead time for solicitations, meaning they would need to know the contents and have a cover in October if the book is coming out in July.

I was against some tight deadlines in October (traveling to Prague and Helsinki did not help), so did not have the cover painted until November. Dark Horse did what many publishers do and sent in another piece of art. Many times you may see a solicitation with a caption that says, "Not actual cover". That is the reason.

Comic book stores have a much shorter lead time, only about 4 months.

Thank you very much for your quick reply. I placed my order with Amazon so that I will get the red cover. It will take about one month to get it...
