Convention Questions

So, I am going to attend the Comic Con in Boston in 2011, but I've never been to one of these before, and am not sure what to expect.
For instance, if I am interested in buying an Usagi drawing from Stan (which I am), how does that work? Do I get in touch in advance or is it more like a table sales set up?
Incidentally, anyone else going to be there from the dojo? I'll be there on Saturday with my old college roommate, whom I introduced to Usagi a few months back. Might be fun to all grab a sandwich and a beer (or a coke for those of us under 21, lol).

Stan gets very busy a lot of the time now. If you want something specific, then PM him in advance and he might be able to get it done before the show. Otherwise he might be able to complete it at the show itself. Failing that, there is always a portfolio of pre-created pieces to buy from, along with published originals (cover art, tip in watercolours etc).

Thanks very much for the advice. I was kind of thinking of something buddy-ish: Usagi on the road with his trusty pal spot alongside

As Mayhem said, I do have a portfolio of drawings. Many of these portfolio pieces or con drawings appear on the back covers of the comics or as the embossed images for the HCs.
If you are interested in a specific item--such as a cover or endpaper or commission--PM me in advance about 3 weeks before the event.

I can't recommend this enough, but if you see a picture you like, buy it right away. I found one picture of Usagi in the rain. It was awesome. I went to talk to my friend who was at the next table talking to Billy Tucci, and when I got back 15 minutes later, someone else had purchased it!
I am still saddened by that.

Thanks everyone for the guidance.
Actually, I love the cover drawing from the hardcover of Shades of Death (Vol. 8, HC, I think)

I'll be at Boston Con too! I'm so excited Stan is coming to the East Coast (and in my city!)
Boston Con is great and has been growing exponentially every year.
